The first Sunday in October brings the sacrament of communion and new members to Christ Church. The Parish Nurses will be stationed at the back of the sanctuary following the service to monitor blood pressures. Home Communion will take place at 1:00. Confirmation meets at 5:00, with Youth Fellowship following at 6:00 (the plan at this point is to still meet at Gailey Park).

When In Our Music God is Glorified is the sermon title for this Sunday's message, and the sanctuary will be filled with an array of beautiful music as we celebrate John Weyrauch's 30+ years of musical ministry at Christ Church.
Also on Sunday, confirmation will meet at 5:00 p.m.

This Sunday, Sept. 14, the morning will begin with Sunday school classes starting at 9:00. The elementary Sunday school class is in need of at least 15 paper towel rolls for this Sunday's lesson. Is your calendar filling up as fast as mine is? September seems to sneak up on me, and then, boom!, before I know it, plans for fall are being made, sports are back on the schedule, reading logs need to be filled in, and the list goes on and on. All good things, but I sure do like the lazy, laid back, summer evenings. They went by way too fast this year.
