Is your calendar filling up as fast as mine is?  September seems to sneak up on me, and then, boom!, before I know it, plans for fall are being made, sports are back on the schedule, reading logs need to be filled in, and the list goes on and on.  All good things, but I sure do like the lazy, laid back, summer evenings.  They went by way too fast this year.

The calendar here at Christ Church is filling up fast, too.  Let's get to it...

This Sunday,  September 7, the morning will begin with Sunday school classes at 9:00 a.m.  There is a class for everyone, so if you haven't been to Sunday school for awhile, come and check one out.  The Seekers class has started a new 6 week study, using the book Hot Dogs and Hamburgers.  They meet on the second floor.  The Young Adult group also meets on the second floor and will begin a new study this week entitled Animate: Practices.  And the Verse-by-Verse Sunday school class meets in the conference room.  The sacrament of communion will be offered during worship at 10:15.  The "That Seeds May Grow" offering will be collected during the service.  We will welcome the Chancel Choir back from summer break this week as well.  The Parish Nurses will be stationed at the back of the sanctuary after the service to monitor blood pressures.

Consistory will meet Monday at 7:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, the Youth Ministries Council meets at 6:00, with the Search Committee meeting at 7:00.

The Sarah Circle will resume meetings on Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. at the home of Marilyn Schantz.  This group welcomes any woman to join them.  The Bell Choir will rehearse at 6:30, with Chancel Choir following at 7:30.

Enjoy the weekend!
