Is it hot enough out there for ya? I hope everyone is being safe and keeping hydrated. Looks like if we make it through tomorrow we might get some relief.
Thanks to everyone who came out for the ice cream social last Sunday night. It was a bit toasty out, but a good time was had by all. A special thank you goes to Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Herr for bringing their street organ. It is always the hit of the party and adds such a special touch to this annual event.
Okay, on to this Sunday, July 21. The annual congregational meeting will be held following worship. Updated directories and annual reports can be picked up by the sanctuary entrances. At 6:00 the Vacation Bible School Splash Park Kick-Off will commence! The whole family is invited to attend. Wear your bathing suits and sunscreen and bring a towel. We'll have the slip 'n slide set up, water guns, and hopefully a new surprise in store for the kiddoes.
Vacation Bible School will run Monday through Wednesday, 6:15-8:15 p.m. Preschoolers through 4th graders (or those who just finished 4th grade) are invited to attend. Friends are always welcome to come! Children will learn about the sacred gift of water through Bible stories, crafts, and games. We will throw some snacks and science activities in there, too.
