There are so many exciting things to look forward to these next couple of weeks (but I don't think the below 20 degree weather is one of them).  Here's the scoop:

It's the annual Hanging of the Greens service this Sunday, Dec. 8. Come prepared for a time of special music, readings, and scripture as this service reminds us of the Advent preparing to which we are called.  Following the service, a congregational meeting will be held to approve the 2014 budget.  Copies of the proposed budget will be available at the sanctuary entrances.  Poinsettia orders are also due ASAP.  The Relay for Life team is holding a soup sale in the gathering area, so stop and pick up a pint or two to warm you up when the weather gets cold next week.  Home Communion will be delivered at 1:00 p.m.  Confirmation will meet at 5:00 p.m. with Youth Fellowship following at 6:00.

Consistory will meet on Monday, 7:00 p.m.

Carol Choir will rehearse at 4:30 on Wednesday.  Kid's Club pageant rehearsal begins at 5:00.  The Bell and Chancel choirs rehearse at their usual times.

Bundle up!  Until next time...
