Chat - 9/11/20

First of all, I would like to encourage you all to watch our service for this Sunday, September 13, as we have extra special Special Music to share.  Two different duets perform pieces during the service.  No spoilers, here!  You'll have to watch and see who appears on the screen.

The Gospel of Mark Bible study will meet at Gailey Park at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday.  Bring your lawn chair, Bible, and mask. All are invited, and it is never to late to join.

A Zoom Fellowship Time will also be held on Sunday at 11:30.  The link to join will be arriving in your inboxes on Saturday.  I would love to see you!

Shirley Weyrauch's Lectio Divina study via Zoom will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.  If you would like the information on how to join, please contact Shirley or me.  This week's study will focus on the Table of Peace, scripture reading Romans 14:1-12.

The October newsletter deadline is next Friday, September 18.

Other notes of interest:

  • You have the opportunity to be a part of our latest CUCC Mission Team project: the 2020 Wayne County Habitat for Humanity Faith Build. Want to know more? Reach out to Anna Davidson (phone: 330.465.6761 Email: millsite59@aol.com) or contact the church office.

  • Send a flock of flamingos to your friends with our Youth Fundraiser, or be prepared to find a flock in your yard!  See the Sept. newsletter for the details and call Lisa Yeagley to schedule a flocking.

  • The Cancer Crusaders will be holding a Virtual Trivia Night to raise funds for The James.  See the attached flyer for all the information.  I have a feeling already that we have a lot of trivia buffs in the congregation and that they won't be taking any prisoners!  Make sure you get in on the fun and the chance to win bragging rights while supporting an important cause.

  • RSVP to the office for the Fall-Theme Painting fellowship event on September 26, 4:00 p.m.

Have a great weekend!  Elizabeth
