This Sunday, August 22, is Rally Day and Outdoor Worship!  The morning will begin for kindergarteners through 12th graders with Rally Day, Supermarket Sweep style.  My kids know what Supermarket Sweep is because you can watch the old episodes on Netflix, so if your kiddos have know idea what you are talking about, good 'ol Netflix to the rescue!  The kids will meet in the Gathering Area at 9:00.  Our worship service will be held under the big tent in the Green Space.  Chairs will be set up, but you can bring your own lawn chairs.  We are still planning to livestream, so barring any technological problems, that will be an option as well.  Coffee hour will be held following worship.

At 3:00 on Sunday, the Ice Cream Club will give the Dalton Dariette another go, as the first meeting there was cold and not well attended.  I think the weather will be perfect for an afternoon ice cream treat.  All are invited!

From the Mission Team: Again this year Habitat for Humanity In Wayne County (HFHWC) has been chosen to receive a Faith Build Grant from Thrivant.  HFHWC is asking each church in Wayne County to give $500 toward the 2021 Faith Build.  Our congregation has been an avid supporter of Habitat.  CUCC participated in the 2020 HFHWC Faith Build by donating labor and funds to help insulate the home built for a Wooster-based family.  For this build,  Thrivant will match gifts dollar-for-dollar from Wayne County churches; therefore our gift will double!  If you are interested in directing any or all of your donation to this specific need, please indicate such on your giving envelope.  Thank you!

Hope to see you under the tent on Sunday!
