Are your pies made yet?  I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

On Friday, after all the food has settled and the shopping done(?), the Living Nativity will begin at 5:00, during the Home for the Holidays event.  There are still some slots that could be filled, so if you want to stop in and find Grace Gehres in the youth room, she will costume you and send you out for a 20 minute shift.  Your help will be appreciated.

Sunday, Nov. 29, is the first Sunday of Advent and the sacrament of communion will be offered during worship.  Home communion will be delivered at 1:00 p.m.  Also--The Angel Tree will be set up in the gathering area.  Please pick a tag and sign it out.  All gifts need to be returned to the church, unwrapped, by Sunday, Dec. 6.

The first day of December (Tuesday) brings a Green Team meeting at 7:00 p.m.  Shirley Weyrauch will be leading an informal Advent study at 7:00 p.m. If you’d like to participate in this Advent study, purchase the eBook “Through the Advent Door: Entering a Contemplative Christmas” by Jan Richardson and read it on any digital device – eReader, tablet, smart phone, or computer.  Shirley will meet in the Parlor on Tuesdays from 7-8 pm with anyone who comes for discussion on the readings.  The dates are December 1, 8, 15, and 22.

On Wednesday, the Carol Choir will rehearse at 4:30.  Kid's Club will be held from 5:15-6:30.  The Bell and Chancel choirs rehearse at their usual times.

I am in desparate need of volunteers to ring the Salvation Army bell at Buehler's on Tuesday, Dec. 1.  I have one hour slots available from 2:00-6:00, and from 8:00-9:00.  The Salvation Army is counting on us, and I don't want to let them down.  Please sign up on the office bulletin board if you can help.
