Chat - 10/23/14

I can hardly believe I am chatting about the last week of October already.  I am thinking it is still September as noted in an email I sent out about a meeting being on September 27, instead of October 27.  To those of you on the Policy and Personnel committee, I am a month behind, and the meeting is this Monday, October 27, 7:00 p.m.

Sunday School begins at 9:00, with worship following at 10:15, this Sunday, Oct. 26.

Policy and Personnel meets at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

The Mission Committee meets on Tuesday, 6:00 p.m.

The usual activities are on tap for Wednesday (choir rehearsals, Kid's Club).  The Music Team will meet at 8:30.

Things to Note:

1. The Relay for Life team will be selling tickets for the annual chicken dinner after worship on Sunday.  Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children 10 and under.  Age 2 and below are free.  The dinner will be held on Nov. 8.
2. A tour of Chapel Hill has been scheduled for Sunday, November 2.  This is an opportunity to get a good look at the grounds and facilities at this UCC retirement community.  Meet at the church at 1:30 p.m.
3. Don't forget about the all-church Halloween party on Nov. 2, 5:00 p.m.  The Fellowship committee would like to have record breaking attendance at this event.  Our littlest ghosts and goblins will be trick-or-treating through the halls, so they need anyone interested to come pass out candy to them.  If you would like to donate a bag of candy, please drop it off in the office.  This is meant to be a fun fellowship event for all ages.
