Hello Everyone! Elizabeth has been on vacation this week and I, Mary, have had the privilege to be back in the office. It feels like coming home.
This weekend starts the Wayne County Fair! Such an exciting week for everyone! I have heard that the heat will be back just in time. Sharon is still looking for Fry Wagon workers. There are openings 2-6 and 6-10 Saturday and 2-6 on Monday. Please email her ASAP at youth.cucc@zoominternet.net. I can smell those fries from here! Sharon also has 2 tickets to the Akron Zoo for $5 each. I have heard the new Grizzly Bear and Wolf exibits are amamzing!
Ok, on to this weeks happenings. Sunday, Sept. 8,Sunday school starts at 9:00a with Worship beginning at 10:15a. During the announcements there will be a Presentation of Confirmation Bibles for the Confirmands. The Chancel Choir will be singing during worship and you won't want to miss it! Don't forget your Seeds May Grow offerings. Directly following worship will be a Coffee Hour hosted by Consistory. I had a chance to peek at the list of goodies everyone is bringing, (I can do that since I am in the office this week), and it will be yummy!
On Monday the Spiritual Council will meet at 6:30p followed by Consistory at 7:00p.
The CCCNS preschool will be resuming classes on Tuesday. Please be mindful when you are in the Hallways and Parking Lots as there will be little preschoolers in and out of the building.
Chancel Choir will rehearse on Wednesday at 7:30p
Elizabeth will be back in the office on Wednesday. I hope that everyone can enjoy the Fair and these last few weeks of summer. Fall is knocking on our door.
