Even though there is not a lot 'happening" around here, there is a lot "happening" around here. Does that make sense? I am very thankful to still be coming into the office as it gives me a sense of normalcy during this weird time. Please know that if you if have a need or just want to talk, Pastor Mike is available at 970-576-2199. The need for self care is so important, and it is perfectly fine to call Pastor Mike for any reason.
Thank you so much for the kind words we have received about our worship services we've posted so far. We will continue to post every Sunday as long as we have to physically distance from one another. For this Sunday, April 5, Pastor Mike is asking that you have a candle ready to light before you start watching the worship service. Our traditional Palm Sunday service will be held.
Some items that might need clarification:
- Easter morning--We would like to have our outside cross come alive to be a visual for the community of the power of resurrection and new life in Jesus. So, if you choose, you can drive up the ramp to the Gathering Area doors anytime between 8-10 a.m. Stay in your car! Staff will be there to collect your flowers (which can be real or fake--follow safety protocols and stay away from the store), and then they will give you a "communion to go" packet. If we start watching the traditonal Easter service at 10:15, we should all be partaking in communion at about the same time! We will be "together" as much as we can be. We will also be posting a Sunrise Service as well. Please call or email me if you have any questions.
- Instant Church Directory--You might have received an email from me about our new website/app for the church directory. I have only put the basic information (names, addresses, phone #, email addresses) in the system at this point. You can download the app to your phone, or log in on the website. Search Instant Church Directory. The symbol you are looking for is a white church with a greenish/yellowish background. Once you create an account, you will be able to access everyone's information on the app. You will also be able to do some editing to your family's profile. If you would like to submit a picture, you can. If you do not want your information to be shown, please let me know. Christ Church members are the ONLY people who have access to your information. If you have any questions, just let me know. This new directory was approved by Consistory at the March meeting. More updating and information needs to be done/given, but for now, see if you can get on and play around with the app a little bit. I think this will be a useful tool for us.
