Chat - 12/8/17

The annual Congregational Budget meeting will be held immediately after worship this Sunday, December 10. Copies of the proposed budget will be available at the sanctuary entrances for review.  A coffee hour will be held in the Gathering Area following the meeting.  Confirmation will meet at 5:00.  Youth Fellowship will have fun with a white elephant gift exchange at 6:00 (bring a wrapped $5 gift).

On Monday, the Bridging Team will meet at 6:00 p.m.  Consistory convenes at 7:00.

Kid's Club and the choirs will meet at their usual times on Wednesday.

The newsletter deadline is next Friday.

Some housekeeping notes:

  • Lasagna ingredients need to be at the church by Sunday.  Anything that needs to stay cold can be placed in the big fridge in the downstairs kitchen.  Thanks for all the donations!
  • Angel tree gifts need to be returned by next Wednesday.  Again, thank you for taking a tag and purchasing gifts!

Looking ahead to Sunday, December 17:

  • A breakfast will be served at 8:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.  The annual Christmas pageant will begin at 9:15 in the sanctuary.  All are encouraged to attend.  No RSVP's are needed.  The youth will teach us what it would be like if everyday was Christmas.
  • Following worship, our annual Cookie Exchange & Coffee Hour will be held.  Bring a dozen or two of your favorite Christmas cookies or treats, and drop them off in the conference room before worship.  After the service, everyone is invited to Fellowship Hall to partake in all the goodies and hot chocolate, and make a tray of cookies to take home.  This is a wonderful way to get a variety of treats without all of the hard work.
  • Caroling in the evening: please note TIME CHANGE!  Anyone interested in caroling should meet in the church parking lot at 4:45 p.m.  We will split into groups and carol to members in the community, first.  Then we will meet at Brenn-Field at 5:50 to lead the 6:00 service.  Following the Brenn-Field service we head to the parsonage for games, fellowship, and food.  Bring a finger food to share.
