We will celebrate Vongseng's retirement following worship this Sunday, November 11. Everyone is invited to Fellowship Hall for food, and to give Vongseng your well wishes. There will be a few speakers, talking about how vital Vongseng has been to this congregation and to reminisce about the last 35 years. All are welcome to bring a personal card or note for Vongseng.
Confirmation and Youth Fellowship will meet Sunday evening.
Consistory will hold a meeting on Monday at 7:00 p.m.
The Bridging Team meets on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
In addition to the usual Wednesday night activities, a preschool program "We Are Thankful," will be held from 6:00-6:45. There will be a story, craft, game, and snacks for all our preschoolers and toddlers, along with their friends. Spread the word!
On Thursday, the Governance Committee will meet at 6:00.
The Youth and Mentors will dine out next Friday at 5:30.
We have several sign up sheets hanging outside of the church office that need filled in with names! We need volunteers to ring the Salvation Army bell, bake cookies, and participate in the Living Nativity. Stop by the bulletin board on Sunday, and sign up for these opportunities. And speaking of the Living Nativity, the Christian Ed. committee is looking for live animals to use. If you know anyone who would be willing to loan us an animal (small donkey, small calf, lambs or pony) for a couple of hours, see Valerie Holderman or call the church office. Waffles the goat will be making an appearance, but the committee would like to have one more animal if possible.
