Remember to bring your estimate of giving cards to worship this Consecration Sunday, November 24.  If for some reason you did not receive a card, they will be available at the sanctuary entrances.  We will also be collecting our annual Cornucopia offering.  This offering will benefit the following housing ministries: Habitat for Humanity of Wayne County, Crossroad, Hope Homes, and United Church Homes.  There are white envelopes in the pews to use for the Cornucopia offering.  Just mark the box that says "Special Offerings."

Following worship, a coffee hour will be held.  Anyone interested in helping to decorate the church for Christmas is invited to stay--a lunch will be provided.  Youth Fellowship will meet at 1:00 to go play Whirlyball.  The first rehearsal for the Sunday school Christmas Program will take place at 5:00.

Angel Tree tags will be available to pick up on Tuesday the 26th if you would like to grab one before the big shopping weekend.  Any tags left will be placed on the tree for Sunday, Dec. 1.  All gifts need to be returned to the church by Dec. 11.  Please leave them unwrapped and have the tag with the gift.

I have the Bell and Chancel Choirs rehearsing on Wednesday night.

The office will be closed on Friday, but the church will see a lot of activity Friday night when we participate in Orrville's Home for the Holidays event with our Living NativityWe still need volunteers to take 20 minute shifts, so please sign up if you can help!  The Wayne County Choral Union is scheduled to sing in our sanctuary at 6:45 if you want to catch a performance.  Friendship Meals will be passing out cookies, and hot cider will be poured.  Don't miss all the events throughout downtown Orrville--a schedule is posted on the office bulletin board.

Other things to note:

  • The 150th Anniversary Cookbooks are in and can be purchased for $15 in the Gathering Area on Sunday, or from the church office during the week.
  • Christ Church is scheduled to ring the Salvation Army Bell at Buehler's on Tuesday, Dec. 10.  There are still time slots to fill!  Please consider signing up on the office bulletin board.

We will have some furry animals to help our Living Nativity truly come to life.  Thank you to the Jones family!
