October is getting away from us, but there are so many fun things still left to do, starting with the Bonfire & Hayride this Sunday, October 28, from 6-8 p.m. This is an all-church event, and we would love to have a huge turnout. It will be held off of Back Massillon Road, halfway between Crown Hill and 57. There will be balloons to mark the spot--you won't miss it! Hot dogs and stuff for s'mores will be provided. Bring your lawn chairs, roasting sticks, and beverages. Some corn hole games will be set up, but bring any outdoor game you might like to play.
I suppose I got ahead of myself...Sunday morning the Confirmation class will meet at 7:30 a.m. to go to Mt. Zion UCC for worship. After worship at Christ Church, our Third Sunday Potluck will be held. Bring a dish to share and your table settings. You won't go home hungry!
Next Tuesday, the Worship Committee and Bridging Team will meet at 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday night is the All-Church Halloween Party! From 5:15-6:15, there will be games with prizes, crafts, and a not too spooky sensory room. From 6:15-7:00, we will enjoy each other's company with a pizza party. Costumes are not mandatory, but a welcome addition to the fun. Thank you to everyone who donated candy for the goody bags that will be passed out that evening. Carol Choir will rehearse from 7:00-7:30 on Wednesday. Bell and Chancel choirs will rehearse at their usual times.
