Chat - 5/5/16

This Sunday, May 8, the Youth Bell Choir will rehearse at 9:00 a.m.  During worship, the SARA special offering will be collected.  The Mission Committee's goal is to collect $2,000 from this offering to pay the full, yearly salary of one of the doctors working in the Ukraine.

Consistory will meet on Monday night at 7:00, and the Chancel Choir rehearses on Wednesday at 7:30.

There are still time slots open to have your picture taken for the pictorial directory, May 12-14, if you haven't scheduled one.  The directory won't be the same without YOU in it.

There is a possibility of an Intergenerational Mission Trip to Steubenville, Ohio on July 15-17.  This trip would be open to ALL ages.  The JOSHUA (Journeys of Service Helping Upper Appalachia) program is a ministry of Urban Mission Ministries, Inc.  Some of the mission opportunities include home repair (painting, plumbing, decking, yard work, etc.), community outreach (gardening through the local community's Unity Garden, community clean-up, etc), and urban mission opportunities (preparing and serving meals, packing and distributing food, etc.)  If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity please contact Dwaine Hemphill as soon as possible.

Picture: Thanks again to Youth Fellowship members, Lisa, Sharon, Katherine, and Ken for their help in cleaning the kitchen after the new floor installation.
